2874 Morgantown Road: House Siding Report

March 26, 2008

Les came on Friday (March 21st) and they got the white storm doors installed on porch and front, plus covered the 2nd floor bathroom exterior. They also made progress on the west side by the big Ash tree, but that still isn't completely finished. They also installed the ceiling on the side porch, but have to wait until this week to install the four new columns and complete the ceiling.

Les & crew made good progress today and did exactly what we asked with the mudroom, that is, covered up the green trim around those windows even though they weren't windows we replaced.

House definitely looks different and, I think, "cleaner," but the stucco, I must admit, did have a certain charm.

Les kept his word and brought an old window he had saved from another job and made a gift of it to us! Mary Ann (and I do agree) thinks this will look great on wall in stairwell. Cool, eh?

Les and his crew returned today to begin
installing the vinyl siding on the house.

Dormers wil be last pieces sided and replacement columns
won't be in until next week so they will be installed and Les
will do the ceiling of the side porch. He will then install the ceiling
fan on porch and all the lights.

February 28 , 2008

Jimmy Peters' crew, headed by Les, came today and installed
replacement windows to help with interior insulation. They
also began prepping the stucco exterior with furing strips for
installation of vinyl siding.
